Check-in & Arrival

When can I check in?

The room will be ready for occupancy by 3:30 PM at the latest – often earlier. Check-in is possible several days before arrival via our partner Straiv. This allows you to conveniently receive your room cards in advance, and you can also pick them up at the reception.

Is self check-in possible?

Yes. Through our digital Guest Journey with Straiv, you will receive all important information conveniently on your smartphone before your arrival and can check in at any time. Even without a smartphone or prior registration, you can easily check in, pay, and encode your room cards at the check-in terminal in the lobby at any time – either with or without our assistance.

Are late arrivals possible?

Yes, at any time. Even with a late arrival, you can conveniently check in digitally or on-site and pay cashless at the terminal or online. Please let us know if you arrive after 6 PM.

What are the reception hours?

Our reception is staffed daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. After that, you can reach us via an emergency number.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is by 11:00 AM.

Breakfast & Community Room

When is breakfast served?

Daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, breakfast is included for hotel guests.

Are there vegetarian or vegan options?

Yes. Our breakfast offers a selection of vegetarian and some vegan products.

Can guests also have breakfast outside?

Yes, weather permitting, our outdoor terrace invites you to have breakfast in the fresh air.

Are guests allowed to bring their own food?

Yes, smaller meals or take-away can be enjoyed in the Community Room.

Can guests stay in the lobby during the day?

Yes. A 24/7 coffee station and our Honesty Bar with drinks and a simple tally system are available at all times.

Wellbeing & Sauna

Is there a wellness area?

Yes. Our wellbeing area, located on the 2nd floor, features a sauna, relaxation room, and direct access to the rooftop terrace.

Is the sauna free of charge?

Yes, use is included for hotel guests.

Is a reservation required for the sauna?

No, a reservation is not necessary.

When is the sauna open?

Daily in the afternoon until 10:30 PM.

Are bathrobes available?

Yes, bathrobes are available in the rooms.

Rooftop Terraces

Are there outdoor areas?

Yes. Two spacious rooftop terraces, one on the 1st floor facing south and another on the 2nd floor in the wellness area, both with wooden floors, invite guests to sunbathe, read, and relax.

Are the rooms non-smoking?

Yes, all rooms and indoor areas are non-smoking.

Are there accessible rooms?

Yes, our Classic rooms are accessible.

How often are the rooms cleaned?

For the sake of the environment, intermediate cleaning is performed automatically every two days.

Can an additional cleaning be booked?

Yes, additional cleanings are available at any time for a fee.

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not allowed.

Are there differences in room location?

Yes, our rooms are located on the ground floor, first floor, and second floor, and each has its own terrace or balcony. Some rooms are quieter, facing the green rear side of the hotel, while other rooms face the front, overlooking the traffic-calmed 30 km/h zone. This can be perceived differently depending on personal preference.

When assigning rooms, we strive to allocate bookings as fairly and reasonably as possible. Guests who book early often benefit from a wider selection of particularly quiet or preferred room locations. Naturally, however, we always ensure a high-quality and pleasant stay experience in all rooms.

Are there privacy screens or blinds on the ground floor?

Yes, all ground-floor rooms feature electric blinds, offering pleasant privacy and sun protection, as well as enhanced privacy.

Parking & Mobility

Are there parking spaces?

Yes. 23 parking spaces are available free of charge in the underground car park, subject to availability. There is a free car park opposite.

Are there EV charging stations?

Yes, EV charging stations are located in the underground car park.

Can bicycles be stored securely?

Yes, bicycles can be stored in the underground car park.

Payment & Cancellation

Which payment methods are accepted

Nordic Vida is a completely cashless hotel. All major card payments, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other digital payment methods, are accepted both online and on-site at the check-in terminal.

Is a deposit required?

No, a deposit is not required.

Are the visitor's tax and tourism levy included in the price?

No. All prices are exclusive of the local visitor's tax and the Cuxhaven city tourism levy.

What are the cancellation policies?

Flexible rates can be cancelled free of charge up to three days before arrival. After this period, we will charge 80% of the first five nights.
Non-flexible rates cannot be cancelled or changed.

For group bookings of five rooms or more, individual cancellation policies apply. You can find more information in our General Terms and Conditions.
